Scholarship Announcement

Last month, thanks to the generosity of the Fairfax County Community Consolidated Funding Pool (CCFP), 13 Liberty’s Promise youth and recent alumni received $20,000 in scholarships to support their pursuit of post-secondary education.

These extraordinary young people, representing West Potomac, Falls Church, and Lewis High Schools reflect the thousands of inspiring alumni that we have served over the years and we’re thrilled to have been able to support them in their next stage of life.

Ayman, an aspiring doctor from Lewis High School, shared:

“Thank you for believing in me….you have helped a young American Pakistani girl achieve her dreams.”

From Rachel, a wonderful scholar from West Potomac High School:

Thank you so much to you and the Liberty’s Promise team for awarding me this amazing scholarship. I am so grateful for being chosen as a scholarship recipient from such an amazing program. I will use this money towards the pursuit of my education and hopefully will be able to give back to the future generations. Liberty’s Promise has been an amazing program for the past two years and I appreciate everything that you all have done. Thank you again and have an amazing weekend!"

And finally Miguel, an Alumnus from Lewis High School:

Thank you very much for this opportunity. I am honored to have been selected for the Fairfax County Liberty Promise Scholarship. This scholarship will help me pursue my education. I am grateful for the scholarship support. I will be able to focus more on my studies and keep helping my community.
