Partnership in Action

Over these past few months, we’ve had the privilege of beginning to develop partnerships with some great organizations, most recently Carabella Dental, Kearney, and Postmates.

Our new Strategic Partnership Program is integral to LP’s growth, enabling us to strengthen our programs, ensuring we are increasing economic opportunities for our learners while continue to provide educational supports, creating a pathway to a better society, and strengthening our local community.

Pillars of Partnership

1 - Volunteering

2 - Youth Development

3 - Philanthropy

This month, our partnership program was in full swing, with Carabella Dental hosting a fascinating ‘LP Career Chat’ in Dentistry and Kearney facilitating an incredible Career Skills Workshop, reaching almost 75 youth!

Shortly before Dr. Nguyen and her team at Carabella Dental sat down with our learners, we asked her about the importance of our partnership:

“My name is Bella Nguyen, I came to this country when I was 17 and my husband is also from an immigrant family. Our families didn't have much, but we have support from the community and organizations like Liberty's Promise. When we decided to open our dental practice, one of our missions is to provide opportunities for those that need it the most. Access to medical care and education is vital to our success.

Through Liberty's Promise, we can pay it forward and help young immigrants achieve the same dream."

Following our mammoth Career Readiness Workshop earlier this month with the team at Kearney, we asked them why they choose to partner with us:

Non-profit partnerships are hugely important for us at Kearney. They give us an unparalleled sense of purpose and help us to become better members of the community.

Recently, we’ve partnered with Liberty’s Promise to host career chats, resume reviews, and practice interviews. We have deeply enjoyed sharing our experiences with the youth and hearing about their aspirations. These future doctors, lawyers, scholars, public servants, etc. are nothing short of inspiring. We are luckily to part on their path to success.

After a successful few months, running 4 events with our partners, we are excited at what’s to come and to continue to develop mutually beneficial partnerships to enable us to continue supporting America’s Immigrant Youth.
